Why does INTEGRIS Health need a Foundation?
As the largest Oklahoma-owned not-for-profit health system, INTEGRIS Health has very different financial priorities than other hospitals. Even though revenue comes in from patient care, those dollars primarily keep the system operating. Things like paying our amazing caregivers, covering the ever-rising costs of medical supplies, and staying on the cutting edge of technology advancements so Oklahomans receive the best possible care.
INTEGRIS Health is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) health care provider. Our priority is patient care—not stakeholders.
Our mission is to partner with people to live healthier lives. All people—not just those who can afford it.
This is where the INTEGRIS Health Foundation comes in. We’re focused on filling the gap between what insurance pays for and what the patient actually needs. Things like no-cost-to-the-patient community clinics. Ensuring people can receive in-patient addiction treatment for as long as the doctor prescribes. Providing meals, lodging and fuel cards to patients who need to travel long distances for cancer treatment. Upgrading patient spaces, and so much more.
These initiatives don’t generate revenue, but they do help patients fight for their health. And that’s what matters most. Together, we’re creating a brighter future in health care for all … no matter what.
